Carol Lorene Johnson Laws, 88, passed away on Thursday August 7, 2025. She was born January 4, 1937 in Wilkes County to the late John Robert Johnson and Hattie Hanks Johnson. Mrs. Laws enjoyed Bowling, sewing, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Ira Bejamin Johnson, John Lewis Johnson; sisters Barbara Johnson Elledge Prevette, Mary Belle Johnson; son Kenneth Ray Reeves. Survived by her husband Tommy Ray laws; children Gloria (David) Mastin, Joe (Phyllis) Reeves, Angela (Jerry) Blevins, Penny (Miles) Moorefield, Crystal (Scott) Myers; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; brother Roger (Cheryl) Johnson, Bill Johnson; sister-in-law Alma Johnson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday August 15, 2025 at Courtney Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at the church by Rev. James Williams. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House 419 S. Hawthorne Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Laws family.
