Carol Joan Leach, 93, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in Wichita, KS. Carol was born, August 22, 1932 in Negaunee, MI to the late Walter J. and Helmi J. (Piirto) Neely.
She attended Negaunee Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. Graduated in June 1950 from Negaunee High School, Negaunee, MI a member of the National Honor Society.
Carol lived in Michigan from birth until May of 1964. She met and married B. Joe Leach after traveling with him from May until August of 1964, then moved to his home town of Wichita, KS. Joe worked for Boeing and was on a field trip when Carol met and married him. Her son Mark came along with Carol to Wichita after leaving Marquette, MI.
Carol joined the Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1987, and was an active member ever since. She worked as Office Secretary, and served as Chairman of the Board of Social Concerns from 1997 until 1999. She was also the former Secretary for Leach Construction Company and also worked for The Berry Companies in Wichita from 1966 until 1984. She worked in the Accounting Department, first in the Accounts Payable Dept. and then the Payroll Dept.
As well as her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, William J. Neely and her husband, B. Joe Leach. Carol is survived by her son, Mark Richard Williams; former daughter-in-law, Dawn Williams; grandchildren, Savannah R. Williams and Nicholas T. Williams and step-grandchildren, Miranda Anderson and David Anderson.
Carol will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
