Carol Lenartz

BALLSTON SPA - Carol Lenartz, a much loved mother, passed away peacefully at her home on August 27, 2025, after a long, brave, battle with cancer. Born in Schenectady, New York on August 5, 1945, Carol worked at St. Clare's Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 2019. Her true passion was designing beautiful gardens for every season. Both her front and back gardens were a wonderland where she nurtured birds and wildlife. She took such joy in watching wildlife return year after year with their babies. Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother who lovingly watched over her family, always providing for them in life and continuing to watch over them in spirit. Carol was predeceased in death by her husband Ted and her son Marty; siblings, Jane Hopper and Whalen (Kingy) Kingsbury. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Kyle) Lis and her three grandchildren, Michael J. (Milly) Foley, Steven (Angelina) Foley and Ashleigh Hall; four great-grandchildren, Lyla , Rosalie, Giavanna Foley and Mariella Nichols; as well as her longtime companion Mickey Elliott; dear friends Joan and Jimmy Schults. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Ave, Ballston Spa.
