Carol Manning Obituary
Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who poured love into everything she did. Her made-from-scratch pies and cookies were the highlight of every holiday celebration and family function. In addition to her baking prowess, Carol was an accomplished seamstress and quiltmaker, crafting beautiful quilts, Halloween costumes, and pajamas for her children and grandchildren. More than anything, she treasured spending time with her beloved family. Her dedication to and love for her family were unmatched.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Manning, daughter Kathleen (John) Garling, parents Harold and Helen Christian, and brother Jon Christian. She is survived by her daughter Karla (Ronald) Olson; son Andrew (Kelli) Manning; granddaughters Katie (Brian) Terhaar, Megan (Robert Doolittle) Olson, Sarah (Eric Wall) Olson, Emily Manning, and Elaine Manning; grandson Joseph (Natalie) Garling; great-granddaughters Addison Garling, Sophia Garling, and Kylie Terhaar; and great-grandson Blake Terhaar.
Private services will be held at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 15219 Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544. Interment will be at Plainfield Township Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lightways Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.

Carol was always such a highlight to my day! We're all so lucky to have known her. Her laugh was so infectious and I'll never forget all the times she gave me hugs or held my hand. Carol has given me so many smiles and will always have a piece of my heart. Miss you Carol!

Carol was such a light to others, her hugs were definitely the most loving warmest hugs ever. You could be having a rough day or just simply feeling under the weather and if you were lucky to be around and have one of her hugs it would make it all worth, she would brighten your day she didnt hug just to hug she hugged holding tight and said in some occasions i love you. And that was just because of who she was her personality was so loving! We will miss you so much Carol RIP

Carol was an amazing Lady I only knew her for a short time but I will never forget her. I'll miss her hugs everyday.
