Stanley Won Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.
Stanley Won, age 78, left this world peacefully on March 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving sons. He was born on April 15, 1947, in Germany, to the late Jozef and Janina Won (nee Lech). He now joins his parents and his cherished brothers, Joseph and Chester Won, in eternal rest.

Stanley is survived by his devoted sons; Nathan (Michelle), Kevin, and Brendan (Faith), who will carry his legacy forward; his loving grandchildren, Zachary, Kailyn, and Esther, who were the light of his life, each a testament to his enduring love and wisdom; his beloved sister, Rose (John) Bukowski and his faithful dog, Gus, who brought companionship and joy to his days. Stanley was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Stanley's life was a testament to the values of hard work, family devotion, and the simple joys of everyday life. As a dedicated truck driver for Teamsters 705, Stanley spent countless hours on the road, ensuring that goods reached their destinations safely until retiring in 2014.

Beyond his professional life, Stanley was a man of vibrant interests and endearing qualities. He found immense joy in watching sports with his sons. His passion for music, the soothing presence of plants, the warmth of sunning on the deck, and the thrill of action movies were simple pleasures that brought him happiness and peace.

Stanley's great sense of humor and fierce love for his family were the cornerstones of his character. He had a unique ability to bring laughter into any room and embraced life with a spirit that touched everyone he met. His family was his pride and joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

As we remember Stanley, we celebrate a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering dedication to family. His warmth and big squeezes will be missed.
