Carol Mount Obituary

Carol Ann Mount, born on Dec. 5, 1964, in Springfield, Ill., gained her heavenly wings on August 24, 2025, in Tallahassee, after enduring a fight with liver cancer.
Carol had a gypsy soul and was a lifelong beach lover who would spend her free time watching the ocean and fishing every chance she was given. She was also very talented and enjoyed crafting, pottery and blown glass. She was a lover of animals and spoiled her pets, but her absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with her family.
Carol is survived by her loving father, John Mount (Sue) of Illinois; sisters, Denise Klaves (Ben) and Lisa Smith of Illinois.
She was the mother of six children: Andrew Mount (Danielle) of Monticello, Larry Brown (Bridget) of Port St Lucie, Zach Brown of Monticello, Ashlie Brown of North Carolina, Justin Kozarevich of Oklahoma and Elijah Kozarevich of Monticello.
Carol also leaves behind her nine beautiful grandchildren whom she adored.
Her quirky personality was one in a million, and she will be missed by all those that loved her. Until we meet again….
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
