Carol Marie Patrek

Patrek, Carol M. (Groschen) age 91, of Mpls, MN, passed away July 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Patrek. She was also predeceased by her parents, Bill and Katherine Groschen, her sister Rita Glenn, brother Don Groschen (Tony), and daughter-in-law Shelly LaLiberte. Carol was known for her faithful heart, love for her family, and her witty-spicy personality. Her personal strength and generous nature were an inspiration to all. She loved gardening, quilting, reading, and spending time with her family. She was born and raised in North Minneapolis and attended Ascension Catholic School. She is survived by her children, Kathleen LaLiberte (Henry), Mark LaLiberte (Jennifer), Ann Strom, Mary Brueske (Brad), Tom LaLiberte (Shelly, deceased); 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister, Sr. Joan Groschen, CSJ; brothers, Bill Groschen, Ralph Groschen (Sandy); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Community Parish, on Wednesday August 13th, 2025, 10:30 am. with visitation at 9:45. Address: 8701 36th Ave N, New Hope, MN 55427. Memorials are preferred. Private interment will be held at a later date.
