Carol Perrotto Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 7, 2025.
Carol Frances Moser Perrotto was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, Godmother, and friend.

Carol lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family, friends, and God. To know her was to love her. She showed genuine kindness to every person she met. Carol had a smile that lit up the room. She loved to knit, sew, crochet, garden, sit on the front porch, and cook and bake all kinds of goodies. Her lemon pies were incredible. She took great joy riding in the T-Bird around the Peninsula. She loved her dogs and her kitties.

Carol had a deep love and appreciation of children. She dedicated her professional life to teaching grades 1st thru 6th. She was also a very good Speech Therapist. Carol attended Edinboro State Teachers college where she got a BS and a Masters Degree. She taught at Klein, Lawrence Park, Tracy, and Belle Valley Elementary Schools for 30 years. She was the founder of Faith Lutheran Pre-School in Harborcreek which is still going strong after 45 years.

Carol met her future husband, James Perrotto at Edinboro. They sat next to each other in almost every class. They would eventually marry in 1966 just after graduation, and just recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. She was very fortunate to spend these 59 years sharing love of family, education, travel, and church. Carol was a member of St. Marks Altar and Rosary Society and ran two Prayer Chains for the past 30 years. She also took care of the altar linens and repaired vestments.

She was a big supporter of her husband's bands and sports teams that he coached. She loved being with her daughters, Karen and Teresa looking for beach glass, and playing and swimming with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Carol and Jim rode the mules down the Grand Canyon on their 25th Wedding Anniversary, she loved every minute.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Esther Moser; and her brothers, James Moser and Tom Moser.

Left to cherish her memory and legacy are her loving husband, Jim; her wonderful daughters, Karen Moses and Teresa Perrotto; her grandchildren, Christian Moses (Kylie), Hannah Moses (Daniel), Dr. Paul Woods (Karen); and great-grandchildren, Ada James, Emery, and Olivia; her step-brothers, Bill Evans (Rose), and Mike Evans (Denise), brother-in-law, Dr. Joseph Perrotto (Marguerite); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and God children.

Family and Friends may call on Saturday, September 20th at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Bartlett Rd. from 9:30am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
