Carol Ravenscraft Railey, 79, of Independence, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, KY, where she sang in the church choir for 30 years. Carol was a 1963 graduate of Covington Holmes High School and retired as a supervisor from Cincinnati Bell in 1993. She worked at Homeward Bound Runaway Shelter in Covington, KY, and volunteered for the Child Abuse Hotline. Carol was president of the Kenton County Jay-Cees Wives in the early 1980's. She was a past Worthy Matron with the Order of the Eastern Star. In her younger years, Carol enjoyed crafts and performing as a magician's assistant. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Carol was preceded in death by her parents: Lionel and Betty Ravenscraft. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years: Randy Railey; daughters: Renée Railey (John Morgan) Norton and Jessica Railey (Bryan) Wells; siblings: John (Janet) Ravenscraft, Beverly (Bob) McHendrix, William (Patty) Ravenscraft, Ruth Ryan and Kenny Ravenscraft; 4 grandchildren: Nathan, Austin, Dylan and Addison and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving cats: Barney and Bootsie and her dog: Blue. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 326 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY 41011. Interment will take place at a later date at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. Memorials are suggested to: Trinity Episcopal Church, 326 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY 41011. My sympathy is extended to Carol's family. She was always so brave and happy. I remember her service in the choir. She was cheerful and funny! I will miss her presence at church.
