Carol graduated from Avon High School with the Class of 1959. She worked for Oscar Mayer for 15 years, spent a year with Excel, and later worked for the Beardstown Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her career, Carol devoted much of her life to helping raise her grandchildren, a role she cherished deeply. Carol enjoyed quilting and spending time with her quilting ladies group, tending to her flower gardens, and canning in her younger years. She treasured time with her family and grandchildren and was a devoted fan of Illini football and basketball, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals.

A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Friday, February 13, 2026 at Browning United Methodist Church, with a meal to follow at Browning Community Center. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Burial will be held at a later date. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is assisting the family.
