Carol Marie Rose, 89, of Austin, passed away February 16, 2024. She was an incredible woman who lived a life full of faith, love, and service.
Born on January 18, 1935, in Flomot, TX, she grew up in Amarillo, TX. Carol worked as a Loan/Mortgage Processor and was deeply involved in her church, participating in Bible Study and serving others. Carol was a woman who passionately sought God with her entire being. She fervently prayed over her family creating an unshakable foundation of unwavering faith that is her legacy passed down and protecting the generations after her. She is someone we should all aspire to be like; a woman of integrity known for always having an optimistic and positive attitude regardless of the hardships throughout her life, a loyal friend always putting others above herself and the most trustworthy person who never spoke negatively about anyone.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lavada Rose, father H.D. Rose, sister Jane Huggard, and brother Tommy Rose.
Carol is survived by her daughters Sheree Lynn Leonard and Leesa Karen Sims, her son Jeffrey Lloyd Sims and his wife Jody, and her beloved grandchildren: Hunter and Coleton Sims, Kristee and Dusty Leonard, Taylor Rodriguez and spouse Christopher, and Evan Illingworth and spouse Ashley, and her precious great-grandchildren: Tinsley, Tatum, Teegan, Sadie and Penelope.
A visitation for Carol will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749. A graveside service will follow the funeral service. A reception after the graveside will be held at following: Shore Grill at 8665 W State Hyw 71.
