Carol F. Runlett

Carol F. Grant Runlett, 81, of Branford, formerly of Hamden, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at Branford Hills Health Care Center, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Milford on May 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Francis W. and Margaret D. (Dwyer) Grant. Carol worked for more than twenty years as an administrative assistant at Yale University before her retirement. Known to many of her family and friends as Bunny, she had a playful wit, a loving heart, and a generous spirit that will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She was the loving mother of Paula (Andy) Laudano, Kelly-Ann (Rob) Zurzola, Brett (Stefanie) Runlett, and Jared (Paola) Runlett. She took great pride in her role as Nana to her ten grandchildren: Andrea (Arthur) Natalino and Andrew Laudano III; Emily Grace, Robert, and Michael Zurzola; Sophiea and Brett William Runlett; and Luke, Eliana, and Maddie Runlett. She was predeceased by her brother, John Grant, known to many as Buddy.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, February 25th, from 9:00–10:30 a.m. at the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN DATE OF SERVICE DUE TO WEATHER.
