Carol Agnes Sheedy

Carol Shabowski Sheedy of Cordele passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Crisp Regional Hospital. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, in the Magnolia Room of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Carol was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late, John Shabowski and Catherine Chamberlin Shabowski. After her retirement from General Motors, she and her husband moved to this area to enjoy their "golden" years. She enjoyed traveling and geneology. Fascinated with the beauty of crystals and gems, she enjoyed working with and making many lovely pieces. Her dog, Cody, was very special to her but her biggest passion was her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson Nate Sheedy. Carol is survived by her husband of 28 years, Charles Sheedy of Cordele; four children, Jacqueline Howard of Huntington, IN, Shane Sheedy (Belinda) of Tennessee, Jon Sheedy (Sue) of Indiana and Sonya Patterson (Tony) of Tennessee; two brothers, Paul Shabowski (Kim) of Warwick and Bob Shabowski (Kathy) of Illinois; 10 grandchildren, Kyra Sheedy, Chiane Lee, Trinity Sheedy, Kenzie Griffin, Frank Sheedy, Graham Sheedy, Audrey Sheedy, Tyler Black, Brady Black and Connor Black; and six great-grandchildren.
