Carol Ann Sherman, 78, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Leon West, her son, James Howard West, and her brother, Thomas Walton.
Carol leaves behind her devoted husband John Sherman, and her beloved children Bobby West, Lisa Hill, Sandy Friedman (husband Micheal), Jenny Palacios, and Susie Hood (husband Allen).
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Amy (husband Cory), Ryan (wife Jordan), Hallee (husband Devon), Lily, Tom, Lisa (wife Sierra), Jason (wife Steph), Justin (wife Taylor), Trenton, Trevor (wife Brooke), Tristan, Joseph (wife Cammi), Jacob (wife Emily), Nikki (husband Joey), Vanessa (husband Ricky), and Josh (wife Abby), her sister Jeannie Brown, nieces Kim (husband Mike), Ashley, and nephew Matt (wife Jessica). She also was a joyful great-grandmother to 26 precious great-grandchildren who filled her heart with happiness.
Carol was known for her warmth, strength, and the love she showed to everyone around her. Her family and friends will always remember her gentle spirit, kindness, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved.
She especially loved the holidays-Christmas was her season to shine. Her joy for decorating was legendary; she could turn a simple corner into a winter wonderland, and she never met a Christmas tree she didn't think needed "just one more ornament." Her sparkle, laughter, and festive spirit brought light to everyone around her. And let's not forget about her glamour, her always perfect hair and nails that were always on point, and those sparkly outfits. It didn't matter if she was just going to the store or to a doctor's appointment, she was always dressed to impress.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, her love and memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
