Carol G. Shock

1950 - 2026

Carol Grace Shock, 75, of O'Hara Township, passed away on Jan. 22, 2026, at Concordia at Cabot. Born Feb. 8, 1950, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred "Bud" and Grace (Keebler) Roney and the wife of the late Gary Shock. Carol is survived by her son, Michael (Sandy) Shock. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred and Jim Roney. Carol was a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Fox Chapel. Summertime was Carol's favorite season, and she loved trips to the beach. She found great pleasure in attending plays and concerts, often accompanied by a close-knit group of friends. The laughter that filled the room during her Sunday dinners with Gary, Mike, and Sandy was non-stop. In her later years, Carol found a second family in the residents and staff at Concordia. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY LTD., 930 Center Ave., Blawnox, PA 15238. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, at the funeral home.
