Carol Taylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home - El Dorado Springs on Jan. 22, 2026.
Carol Diane Taylor, 71, of Stover, Missouri passed away January 21, 2026. Carol was born October 15, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas to Clarence and Norma Taylor. She graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in Johnson County, Kansas. While growing up she enjoyed swimming at the local pool and playing tennis at the nearby school. She also enjoyed weekend summer trips to the lake with her family.

After working for the EPA for many years, Carol followed in her parents' footsteps by retiring to the Lake of the Ozarks. She loved to travel and go shopping with her friends. Another of her great joys was entertaining friends and family at her lake house.

She was a proud mother of 3 sons and 2 grandsons. Her favorite trips were to Kansas City to attend her youngest grandson (Zack's) concerts where he plays the viola in the high school orchestra.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Robert Magee. She is survived by her sons, Tom (Marcia) Magee and Nick (Kim) Zipf; and two grandsons, Ryan Magee and Zachary Zipf. She is also survived by her siblings: Don Taylor, Nancy Jones, and Patricia (Jim) Chrisco, and many other family members.

Carol was a wonderful daughter to her parents, sister to her siblings, mother to her sons and grandmother who will be missed by all that had the privilege to know her.

She was taken way too soon!

A celebration of life will be held at 300 E 4th St, Edgerton, Ks 66021 on March 21, 2026, at 12pm.
