Carol J. Vandevelde, 56, of Green Bay, passed away on September 17, 2025. She was born on July 26, 1969, to the late James and Delores Jorgensen.

From an early age, Carol's energy and talents shined brightly. Growing up in Suamico, she spent countless hours playing games with friends, riding bikes, and visiting the Vickery store in Suamico for penny candy with friends. She carried that same joy into her passions for softball, baton twirling, and music.

During her high school years at Bay Port, Carol's baton twirling was nothing short of spectacular. She performed at football halftimes with fire batons, dual batons, and hoop routines, even having the opportunity to perform during a halftime show at Lambeau Field for a Packer Game. Carol was also part of the pom squad at Bay Port High school and taught dance to younger students, sharing her gifts with the next generation. In band, she proudly played percussion and the bass drum, while also excelling on the softball field as a strong pitcher for many years. Her high school classmates voted her "Most Talkative" in the Bay Port Class of 1987, a reflection of her lively and outgoing spirit.

After graduation, Carol attended NWTC where she earned a certificate in office administration. She went on to build a career in customer service at Humana, working as a representative for an insurance company in De Pere. Her kind heart, bright personality, and ability to connect with people left a lasting impression on coworkers and clients alike.

Carol was strong in every way, resilient, compassionate, and deeply devoted to her family. She will be remembered as someone who lived with passion, shared her talents generously, and brought joy to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Vandevelde; son, Colin Vandevelde; siblings Randy (Peggy) Jorgensen, David (Janice) Jorgensen, and Sue (Terry) Wieber; brothers-in-law Kenneth (Janice) Vandevelde Jr. and Rick Karr; sister-in-law Karen (Peter Campanile) Vandevelde; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her siblings Ken Jorgensen, Don Jorgensen, Sally (Ed) Wroblewski, Nancy Karr, Virginia Jorgensen, and niece Kristie Waln.

A private family service will be held at a future date. Pfotenhauer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Howard-Suamico, is assisting the family.
