Marlene Delvaux Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pfotenhauer Family Funeral Home - Howard-Suamico on Sep. 26, 2025.
Marlene M. Delvaux, 78, Passed away peacefully and in classic Marlene fashion, fought until all of her family was by her side, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. She was born on May 1, 1947, to the late Roy and Marie Luedke.

Marlene lived a life full of love, family, and simple joys. She adored Coca-Cola, spending time camping, enjoying bonfires, and going strawberry picking each summer-always making her famous jam afterward. She treasured hosting booyah parties, and holidays were her favorite times of year, filling her home with decorations, warmth, and the smells of her incredible cooking. Known as the best cook around, Marlene's meals and gatherings created memories her family will forever cherish. Marlene was known for her quick-witted humor, and funny comebacks, even when times were rough. Those memories will forever live on through those that knew her.

Together with her beloved husband, Dick, Marlene enjoyed traveling and took many beautiful trips, including Branson, Missouri; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Nashville, Tennessee. Dick and Marlene shared 59 years of marriage, building a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories side by side.

Marlene will be remembered for her generous heart, her joyful spirit, and the countless ways she brought people together. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue in the lives of all who know her.

Marlene is survived by her husband Dick Delvaux; children, Amy Delvaux, Lisa (Terry) Caelwaerts, Wendy (Randy) LaCount, Dickie (Lorelee) Delvaux, Kelly (Lee) Polcin; grandchildren, Travis (Mariah), Brian, Kayla (Matt), Tyler (Sophia), Christina, Cameron (Anna), Isabelle, Owen, Hanae (Alex), Maverick (Andrea), Chase, Griffin; step-grandchildren, Ashley (David), Tyler (Danyelle); great grandchildren, Wesley, Avery, Paisley, Theo, Timmy, Zander, and Thomas.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Roy and Marie Luedke; parents-in-law, Adrian and Audrey Delvaux; son-in-law, Timothy Fairchild; and her brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank Davita Dialysis, especially Kendal, and to Jared from Aurora ICU. A special thank you to Jay, who dedicated countless hours as both a nurse and friend.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home in Howard, 1145 Cardinal Lane, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm with a service to follow. After services are complete at the funeral home, the family invites everyone to bring a chair and come over for a bonfire in Marlene's Honor.
