Carol Irene Veloske, age 81, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on November 11, 2024.
Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her son, Edward Vankirk; daughter, Barbara (Michael) Soderbeck; granddaughters, Jenna (Darren) Eck and Jessica (Miles) Norman; sister, Patty Martinson; brother, Mark (Patricia) Stevens; nephews, Jeff Amaris, Troy (Elizabeth) Amaris; niece, Dorothy Stevens; beloved dog, Sadie; and many extended family members.
Carol was known for her kind heart, generosity, sharp wit, ruthless card playing skills, and unwavering love for everyone in her life. Whether she was baking tasty treats for family and friends, reading a romance novel with a glass of iced tea at the cabin, or bargain shopping with friends, Carol lived each day with joy. Carol also served for decades as a driver's license examiner for the State of Minnesota until her retirement last year.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family thanks everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at Ranfranz & Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre from 11am-1pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024 .
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carol's name are preferred to the charity of your choice.
