Carol C Whitman
1954 - 2025

Carol passed away on October 13, 2025. She grew up in Chicopee until moving to West Springfield in 1983. Her parents were Fred Kokoszka and Catherine (Zuchowicz) Kokoszka who passed away when she was very young. She was raised and nurtured by a very special uncle, Robert Kolasz, and aunt, Emily (Kokoszka) Kolasz. She also had a very special aunt, Gladys Kokoszka. All of whom have predeceased her. She is survived by her husband, Ned Whitman, and daughter, Abby Whitman. She also has many many cousins who loved her and will cherish her memory. She graduated from Chicopee High School in 1972 and Our Lady of the Elms College in 1976. Carol worked for 12 years at the Holyoke Health Center and then changed careers to becoming a realtor until retiring in 2025. All services are private. The family invites family and friends to join them in a celebration of Carol's life at the Shortstop Grill 99 Springfield Rd Westfield Saturday October 18, 2025, at 1PM.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Tunnel to Towers, the Wounded Warriors, or the Dakin Center. The Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
