Carol Young, 81, of Orlando Florida peacefully went home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 5, 2024.
She was a Sweet Mom, Grandmother and Beloved Wife to William Young Jr. who preceded her in death.
Carol was originally from Baltimore Maryland and was the daughter of Vernon Smink Jr., and Amelia Stockett. She was a loyal and loving Wife, Mom, Grandmother, and Mother in Law who brought Joy to all who knew her.
She was a Devout Christian and longtime member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, an Incredible Cook, and will be remembered as a loving, Joy filled Wife and an Incredible Mom who held the whole family together through good and difficult times. Her compassion, kindness and gentle spirit made her a Blessing to anyone who were lucky enough to be around her.
Carol was an amazing woman, who loved life, enjoyed traveling, and worked very hard as a Title Clerk, and in the 1980’s she worked diligently to obtain an Associates Degree, from Valencia College.
As a military wife, she worked hard to raise her 2 children, Bill, and Lisa while her husband was in Vietnam fighting for our Country. The life she lived as a military wife required her and the whole family to live in many places, including Maryland, North Carolina, Mississippi, Hawaii, South Carolina, and eventually Florida.
Carol’s legacy is her 2 children who live out their lives working hard, helping others and are both Strong Followers of Jesus. When we think of one word that describes Carol it is “Love”.
Carol is survived by her son William (Bill) James Young III and his partner in life Pam Keen, Her Daughter Lisa Charles, Son in Law Jeff Charles, and Grandson Joey Charles, and his wife Amanda.
Visitation for friends will be September 12th at 10 A.M., and the Service will be at 11 A.M. at the Newcomer Funeral Home located at 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando Florida 32822 (407)277-4227
