She passed peacefully on July 18th, 2025.
She had a very successful career in hospitality for over 35 years, managing several iconic establishments, and operating/traveling with Holiday Inn for an extended period of time as well. When Carol decided to leave the hospitality industry, she started selling AVON and Naturally she was one of the highest sales holders in the entire northeastern region for over 20 years.
She loved having a house full of people and being the life of the party, only if she could cook for everyone considering she thoroughly believed that "grease is a food group". There wasn't much she loved more than her dogs, Nascar and country music.
She is survived by her 4 children (Barbara, Andy, Tommy, and Cheryl), 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2PM Friday July 25th at The Funeral Home of Michael J Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901. In lieu of flowers, Carole's family is requesting donations in her memory to First State Animal Center and SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
