Carole Jones was born on February 21,1948 to the late Andrew and Dorothy M. Dedmond in New Haven, CT. As a child, she attended Trinity Temple COGIC in New Haven, CT. where she was a very active member. She was united in Holy Matrimony, to the love of her life, Mr. Shean L. Jones on June 24,1972 at Trinity Temple, Church of God in Christ, New Haven, CT. She was blessed with two children, Gregory E. Jones and Shalanda L. Jones.
Carole attended Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, CT. She later received her Real Estate License prior to 1999. She worked as a Real Estate Agent at Weichert Realty where she received the GRI National Award in New Jersey. Upon moving to North Carolina, she work as a Board Member for Union Power in Monroe, NC, for over 10 years until her retirement. She was also a certified Foster Parent in North Carolina for more than 10 years where she and her husband cared for many children in their home.
After moving to Atlantic Highland, New Jersey, she became a longstanding member of St. Paul Baptist Church in 1979, where she received salvation and was baptized. She served as Deaconess, an Usher and a Sunday School Teacher.
Carole and her husband attended a few churches when they relocated to the Charlotte, NC area until the Lord settled them at First Fellowship Ministries of Charlotte. She faithfully served as a Deaconess for many years until the Lord called her home.
Carole enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, decorating and was civil minded of current events.
Preceding Carole in death: her mother and father, Dorothy Dedmond and Andrew Dedmond. Her son, Gregory E. Jones and grandson, Gregory M. Jones.
Carole leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 52 years, Shean L. Jones. Daughter: Shalanda L. Jones of Monroe, NC. Sister: Brenda L. Knox of Charlotte, NC. Brother: Wayne (Nancy) Dedmond of Wallingford, CT. Sister-In-Law: Corliss & Carlos Knight of Chesapeake, VA. Brother-In-Law: Lloyd Knight of Manhattan, NY. Grandchildren: Christina Jones of New Haven, CT, Kealon T. Howard of Gastonia NC, Trenton K. Howard and Kameron T. Howard of Newport Richie, FL, Kennedi Jones-Byrd of Charlotte, NC, William Byrd and Laila Byrd of Atlanta, GA. Great Grandchildren: Aiden T. Smallwood of Charlotte, NC, Rilynn N. Howard of Tampa, FL. Special Nephews: Troy Porter, Brent Porter and Terrence Knox. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members and friends.
