Carole Larson, 80, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Pioneer Cottages in Fergus Falls.
Carole Marie (Burris) Larson was born on February 26, 1945 in Fergus Falls, MN to Quinby "Tim" and Margaret (Johnson) Burris. She grew up in Fergus Falls, MN where she attended school graduating in 1963. Carole met the love of her life, Delbert "Del" Larson in Madison, MN. They were united in marriage on August 9, 1965. They lived on Wall Lake outside of Fergus Falls for many fantastic years. Carole worked for a number of years in Fergus Falls, most of those being at Lake Region Healthcare.
Carole will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, graciousness and selflessness. She had many friends and loved visiting with people, playing in several card clubs and spending time on Wall Lake. She was known for her beautiful gardens, the ability to bring everyone together, and sharing the delicious meals she lovingly prepared. Carole touched many lives through volunteering her time as a leader for the Habitat for Humanity, Grace United Methodist Church and Kiwanis of Fergus Falls. She traveled around the country and generously gave her time in service to others, offering compassion and support wherever it was needed. However, nothing mattered more to her than her family, and she loved them with a rare and wholehearted devotion. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment she shared with them above all else.
Carole is survived by her loving husband, Del Larson of Fergus Falls; sons, Matt (Lynn) Larson of Vergas, MN and Chris Larson of Fargo, ND; granddaughter, Beth (Shelby) Larson of Woodbury, MN; grandson, Christian (Macey) Larson of St. Louis Park, MN, and brother, Tim (Lisa) Burris of Portland, ME. Preceding her in death were her parents, Quinby "Tim" and Margaret (Johnson) Burris; brothers, Bob Burris and Richard Burris, and her grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Fergus Falls Habitat for Humanity.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church. Refreshments and time of fellowship to follow.
