Carole Prescott Obituary
Carole (Tatro) Prescott, 87, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, January 12th, 2026. Carole was born in Hartford to the late Albert and Elsa (Scheld) Tatro. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Prescott, Sr. for 64 years. A graduate of Teacher's College of CT, she was a business education teacher at Avon High School and Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. For 20 years, Carole was the Office Manager at First Church of Christ Woodbridge. She enjoyed travel, long walks, and tennis.
Carole leaves behind her beloved husband, Richard; her children, Caren and husband, Mark Ruocco, Susan and husband, Lorenzo Fasciani, Richard Jr. and wife, Bernadette Prescott; her grandchildren, Christine and husband, Ron, Michelle and husband, Matt, Samantha, Zachary, Jessica, and Benjamin; her great-grandchildren, Elijah, Oliver, and William; sisters, Shirley Marc, Bette and husband, Robert DeFosses.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 20th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 21st, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of Christ Woodbridge, 5 Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge. Carole will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill.
