Carole Lynne Tipton passed away on June 30th, 2025.
Carole was a colorful, generous, warm soul, with a huge heart. She was a gypsy until she found her roots in Topeka, Ks.
Through her life, Carole found joy in the simple pleasures, home decorating, paging through her favorite magazines, flower gardening and enjoying a good piece of peach pie while enjoying her favorite tv shows. What meant the most was time spent with her family and friends, whether it was a quick visit, celebrating a birthday or eating at a favorite restaurant.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband, George Tipton; her mother, Wilma Hess; brothers, Clif Hess, Clinton Hess, Ronnie Hess and her sister, Teresa Turnbull. She is survived by her three sons: Terry (Sharon) Shields, Houston; Randy (Jerri) Shields, Topeka; Gary (Angie) Shields, Topeka; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took immense pride in her family as anyone could see by all the memorabilia she kept, from pictures to cards to news clippings, even bows from packages. Everything was tied to a wonderful memory for Carole.
She will be remembered by her family and friends not only for her colorful and creative spirit but also the endless love and laughter we were all blessed to have shared with her.
Carol loved her dog Marcy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka at hhhstopeka.org or 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, Ks 66604.
