Carole Roberta Wigren

Carole Roberta Wigren, aged 80, of Gig Harbor, WA, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughters.
Born on May 9, 1944, to Eleanor and George Stopps, Carole devoted her life to her family and community. She pursued a fulfilling career as an accountant and controller before retiring with her cherished husband, Lanny Wigren, to North Idaho. There she embraced her passion for helping others as a volunteer EMT.
Carole and Lanny shared 46 wonderful years of marriage, having tied the knot on September 1, 1978. Sadly, Lanny preceded Carole in passing just a few months earlier, leaving her on November 2, 2024.
She is survived by her sister, Laura; her two daughters, Donna and Diana; her grandchildren, Dylan, Catrina, and Ashley; and her great-granddaughter, Ryleigh.
Known for her intelligence, sensitivity, and dedication, Carole was an invaluable advocate for her family during times of health concerns. An avid equestrian and animal lover, she had horses and cats throughout her life, finding joy in their companionship. Together with Lanny, she delighted in camping and horseback riding adventures with friends across Eastern Washington and Idaho. She also treasured moments spent with loved ones, whether competing in online scrabble matches with her grandchildren, playing card games, or showcasing her talent for completing intricate 1000-piece puzzles with unmatched precision.
