Carolee Cramer Obituary

Carolee A. Cramer passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 88, in her hometown of Alpena, where she was also born on June 29, 1937.
Carolee's early years in Alpena were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. She was the cherished daughter of Waldo and Bernice King and grew up alongside her siblings, Eugene, Elaine, Vera, and Judith, all of whom predeceased her, leaving behind a legacy of familial love and unity. Carolee's sister, Gail Cramer, and brother-in-law, Bob Andor, continue to honor her memory.
Loving wife of James for 57 years who preceded her in 2011. Carolee is survived by her children: Glen Cramer of Alpena, Ben and his friend Joy Krawczak of Alpena, Ken (Tamrya) Cramer of Crivitz, WI, Christine (Charles) Ardingo of Aldon, MI, and Tim (Julie) Cramer of Alpena. Her life was further enriched by the joy of her 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who will remember her for her boundless love and the wisdom she imparted. Though her granddaughters Trista Standen and Melissa Cramer preceded her in death, their memories remain a cherished part of her story.
Carolee's passion for life was evident in everything she did. Her hands, always busy, tended her garden with love, coaxing flowers and vegetables from the soil. The hum of her riding mower was a familiar summer symphony, as she took pride in maintaining her verdant lawn. A culinary artist, she filled her home with the aroma of freshly baked bread and treats, ensuring that never a store-bought loaf was found on the farm.
An adventurous spirit, Carolee found joy in traveling, exploring new places, and the occasional thrill of the casino. Her dedication to her community was exemplified by her eight years of service as the Wilson Township Clerk, a role she performed with integrity and grace.
Carolee is at McWilliams Funeral Home where friends may call on Monday October 27, 2025, from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 pm with Rev. Warren Hoffman officiating. Interment will be at King Settlement Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Wilson Township Fire Department. Online condolences can be made at mcwilliamsfh.com
