Grandma Carrots Obituary
Carolina Carrillo, 92 years old of Fort Stockton, passed away on August 30th, 2025, in Odessa Tx.
Visitation will be held Monday September 8th 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm with the Rosary at 7 pm at Eternity Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 9th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Francis officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
Carolina was born in Balmorhea TX to Eduardo and Silvestra Alvarez on July 12, 1933. She went to school in Balmorhea Tx. She married Jose Carrillo on October 29, 1955, in Brogado Reeves County Texas they had 3 loving children together. Carolina was a housekeeper/caregiver in Balmorhea, she was also a dedicated meter reader with the City of Fort Stockton for many years where she retired. Carolina was known by everyone by Grandma Carrots. The name was given to her by her eldest great granddaughter Aries, because she was unable to say her name, and the nickname stuck with her since then. Grandma Carrots enjoyed being outside gardening she was very passionate about her rose bushes, crossword puzzles, beating everyone at scrabble being surrounded by family and friends that adored her whether it be listening to music and dancing or just enjoying the company together. Grandma was always open-minded; she loved to pray over everyone she strongly believed in the power of prayer. Grandma was full of love and laughter, she welcomed everyone with open arms and would dismiss everyone by saying "Que Dios Te Bendiga I Love You".
Carolina is proceeded in death by her husband Jose Carrillo, sons Eliseo & Joe Isaac Carrillo, parents Eduardo and Silvestra Alvarez, siblings Lucia Alvarez Fuentez, Hilario, Beto, Lalo and Clemente Alvarez.
Carolina is survived by her sister Juanita Lozano, daughter Margarita Sarabia, grandchildren Bianca (Josh), Joe Thomas (Billie Joe) & Roxanne (Levi), great grandchildren Aries, Homar, Xavier, Genai, Anabelle, Analysa, Michael, Lahela and Liam. Great- great grandchildren Kataleyha, Matthias, Xavier, Sylus and Ellie. We can't forget Her forever friend Bud.
Pallbearers will be Homar Lopez, Levi Urias, Manuel Wislar, Jesus Ramirez, Xavier Lopez, Joe Thomas Ramirez.
Honorary Pallbearers Liam Urias, Anabelle and Analyssa Ramirez.

The Tenderness you've shared with us will never fade. The most wonderful gift you could ever give is the special part of you that now lives in each of us, and the truth your love has taught us can only be strengthened by the gift of time for where roots grow deep, memories grow forever.
