She was a nurturing Mother to Desiree (Jeremy Smith), Jacqueline, and Christian Nevarez and loving Grandmother to Ziyah Smith; beloved Sister to Giovanny Pareja, Jesse (Laura) Pareja and Michelle Pareja (Brian Chambers).
Carol worked in accounting over several years and loved exploring downtown Chicago. As a true Chicagoan, she often supported her favorite sports teams – the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears. Carol is known for her incredible Ecuadorian and Mexican style of cooking, baking, painting and crafting, yet her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family and bringing people together. She touched many hearts with her strength, compassion and love for her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday September 5, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Sagrada Familia Funeral Home, 4950 West 79th Street, Burbank IL 60459. The funeral service will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10am at Sagrada Familia Funeral Home, with the funeral procession starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at St Mary Catholic Cemetery, 3801 West 87th Street Evergreen Park IL 60805. j spent many years with carol, she was the love of my life. it was weeks before i was to return to Chicago and get us a new home, she was my get it done friend, girlfriend, fiancé and soon to be my wife. this time instead of a heart shaped 2k diamond ring she said I had to get her a platinum ring. I agreed. I will miss her so much, I already had been missing her and I will tell her that every day when I call her I say, bby i miss you so so much and love you soo so much. she would always reply ' I know papi' my life will never be the same withouy her i will never ever love another as much as i loved my bbby c. i didnt get the chance to talk to her or pay my respects, i can never say what i needed to or ever hold her in mty arms like we polanned. life doesnt matter to me no more or what it haves to offer. i love you bby and miss tou. i will be with you soon bby.
