Caroline "Martha" Davis, affectionately known as "Martha" to her family and "Caroline" to her colleagues in the nursing profession, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Butler, Georgia, following complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was 73 years old.
Born in Waymart, Pennsylvania, to Tom and June Davis on August 5, 1952, Martha dedicated her life to caring for others. She is survived by her siblings Judy, Tom, and LuAnn, along with a devoted extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply. Though she never married, Martha's love and influence were felt profoundly by her cousins and the younger generations she helped raise and inspire.
A LIFE OF SERVICE AND COMPASSION
Martha devoted 43 years to the nursing profession, earning the admiration of patients, colleagues, and physicians alike. Her career began in hospital settings, where she spent two decades providing bedside care with unmatched dedication. She later specialized in Urology, working in private practice for 23 years, where her expertise and advocacy for patient dignity made her indispensable. Known for her strong work ethic, compassionate nature, and fearless defense of her patients, Martha was the nurse everyone hoped to have by their side.
FAMILY, FRIENDSHIP, AND JOY
Family was the cornerstone of Martha's life. She lovingly cared for her parents for nearly 25 years and created lasting memories with her nieces and nephews through holidays, vacations, and everyday moments. Her love extended to her cherished English Bulldogs, whom she treated like her own children.
Martha's zest for life was evident in her adventurous spirit-she enjoyed white-water rafting, skiing in Colorado, and traveling with her co-workers. Her sense of humor was legendary, bringing laughter and light to every gathering.
A LEGACY REMEMBERED
Martha leaves behind seven nieces and nephews-Andrew, Joseph, Jennifer, Michael, Jacob, Sean, and Spencer; thirteen great-nieces and nephews-Avery, Madison, Meira, Meika, Conner, Jager, Kennedy, Spencer, Brody, Wyatt, Aldrik, Logan, and Maverick; and two great-great-nieces and nephews-Carter and Caelyn. Her legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in each of them.
We will miss her dearly-our sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
