Caroline H. Ernst, 50, passed away September 3, 2023 after a brief illness.  She was born in Akron on March 9, 1973, the daughter of Pamela Gunderson and the late William Cook.  She will always be remembered as a friendly person.  Her smile was infectious and everyone who met her loved her.  She worked for many years at the Waterloo Restaurant and later at Woody’s Restaurant.  Caroline enjoyed anything having to do with water.  She loved going boating and spending time at the beach.  She was also loved her pets.  Caroline is preceded in death by her father William Cook and her daughter Tiffani Gray.  She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, David Ernst; mother Pamela Gunderson; stepsons David, Matthew, and Logan Ernst; as well as granddaughters Mary Jane, Melody, and Mercy.  The family will receive friends fromon 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the ABC Church (783 Brown Street), where a memorial service will be immediately follow at 7:30 PM.   Memorial contributions may be made to IBH Addiction Recovery.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
