Caroline C. Hooks, age 81, of Warsaw, formerly of Atwood, passed away on September 23, 2025 at Miller's Merry Manor in Warsaw, Indiana. Born on October 11, 1943, in Adrian, Pennsylvania Caroline enriched the lives of those around her with her warmth, creativity, witty humor and a genuine love for her family. She married Ronald Glenn Hooks in Adrian, Pennsylvania on November 12, 1960. They were married for almost 51 years. He passed away in 2011.
She is survived by her devoted children, Vicki (Jeff) Bradford of Silver Lake and Anita (Rob) Bolinger of Claypool both of whom carry forward her legacy of love and commitment to family. She was a cherished grandmother to Riley and Evan Bolinger who were a source of joy in her life. Also survived are her brothers, Russell (Bev) McAfoose of Atwood and Mervin (Beth) McAfoose of Warsaw; sisters, Mae Leiter of Claypool and Fay Neher of Claypool. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Clarence McAfoose and her brother, Lawrence McAfoose.
Caroline had a passion for many hobbies including raising fancy pigeons, planting beautiful flowers which brightened her surroundings. She enjoyed shopping and her love for gardening was matched only by her fondness of her cats. Caroline found joy in doing things with her grandsons, talking on the phone, keeping connections strong with family and friends.
Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw, is entrusted with care of Caroline. Visitation is Monday, September 29, 2025 from Noon-1pm at the funeral home. A Life Celebration® funeral will follow the visitation. Pastor David Banning will officiate. Burial will take place at Wooden Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to Atwood Otterbein Church with envelopes available at the funeral home. Written condolences may be left on Caroline's obituary page via www.TitusFuneralHome.com
