Caroline E. Johnson

Caroline E. Johnson, 91, of Sheboygan, passed away early Sunday morning, August 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born January 9, 1932 in the Town of Herman, Caroline was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lydia Grunewald Fink. She attended Sheboygan area schools. On June 6, 1953, she was united in marriage to Spencer Johnson. They were married for 50 years before Spencer preceded her in death on October 31, 2003.
Caroline was a homemaker who raised twelve children. Before her marriage, she worked at area cheese factories with her sister. She was a former member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She will always be remembered for lending a helping hand to anyone in need.
She is survived by her children, Kay (Bruce) Rudie, Larry (Kris) Johnson, Jerry (Dawn) Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Scott Johnson, Barry (Leila) Johnson, Bobby (Dee) Johnson, Kelly (Brian Williams) Gross, Kristine (Ed) Lauer, Kevin Johnson, Marcie Schultek; 13 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joshua, Ellicia, Paul, Katie, Shane, Jennifer, Jason, Becky, Wayne Jr., Mellissa, Melinda, and Christina; two step-grandchildren, Ryan and Becky Hoppa; numerous great grandchildren; her sisters, Luann Reinemann and Gertrude Ninmer; a daughter-in-law, Darla Johnson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and her husband, Spencer, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Johnson, and her grandsons, Jacob and Chad Johnson.
Private family services will take place. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
