Caroline Ann Pierce

Caroline Ann Pierce, 82, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, in New Port Richey, Florida. Born on September 17, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, she lived a life rooted in love for her family and a deep connection to the natural world.
Caroline was a jack of all trades. One of her favorite things to do was garden. Her passion for gardening was evident in every flowerbed she tended and every plant she nurtured. Her green thumb was more than a skill-it was an extension of her generous spirit and her appreciation for life's quiet beauty.
She was known by those around her as loving and family-oriented, qualities that defined her relationships and guided her through life's seasons. Caroline found joy in being a devoted mother to her daughter Kelly Laxen and son-in-law Daniel Laxen. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Zachary Laxen, Joshua Laxen, Jon Kucholick, and Mark Polk. Her family circle also included her sister Barbara Turner; nephew Kurt Turner and his wife Karen Turner; and great-niece Hana Nishino Turner.
Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry, as well as by her parents Harold Martin and Phyllis Martin and her granddaughter Kelsey Kay Lanning. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
A woman of unique character and warmth, Caroline brought light into the lives of those who knew her. Whether sharing stories with loved ones or tending to the blooms in her garden, she left behind traces of kindness and care that will not be forgotten.
