Caroline (Sano) Ranucci, 94, passed away on December 18, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Caroline leaves behind a devoted family including her four doting daughters: Susan Ranucci, Janet Ranucci, Barbara Carroll (Kevin), and Christine Ippolito (Peter); 7 grandchildren: Michelle (Joe), Stephanie (Seth), Jesse (Megan), Elizabeth, Stephen, Allison, and Lauren; 7 great grandchildren: Mila, Charlie, Josie, Michael, Alma, Noah, and Jude; as well as her beloved sister, Nancy Monastra; and several nieces and nephews, including Barbara Catalano whom Caroline called "my 5 th daughter." She is welcomed into heaven by her loving husband, Charles; her parents, Victor and Theresa Sano; and sister Jennie Mella.

Caroline was born and grew up in the Bronx, NY, graduating from Roosevelt High School and then working as a secretary for the Vice President of Coty in Manhattan-a job she loved. She married Charlie in 1951, and together they raised their growing family in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx. She loved cooking, doing crafts, sewing, and most of all, being mom to Susan, Janet, Barbara, and Christine. She and Charlie enjoyed 69 years together, with the last 33 years as empty nesters. During that time, they traveled to Italy, Hawaii, California, and Alaska and spent many winters as 'snowbirds' at their condo in Jensen Beach, Florida. In 1996, they moved to Toms River and loved having fun with new and old friends, crabbing on the river, playing cards, having happy hours with neighbors, and just enjoying their retirement. Six months ago, Caroline moved to Marlton to be closer to her daughters.

As a true Italian mother, Caroline showed love through her food. Her cooking skills were legendary and whether you were hungry or not, you were given an eggplant parmesan sandwich-and it was the best thing you ever ate. Many have tried and failed to replicate her recipe-it must have been the ingredient of her love that made the difference.

For many years she hosted the traditional Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes and Thanksgiving for her extended families, creating treasured memories that remain with those who now miss her warm, fun, and funny personality.

Caroline is remembered as an incredibly loving, selfless, and generous mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and although no longer here with us, she will live in our hearts forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday December 22, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Route 73 & Evesham Road, Marlton, NJ.
