In 1986, Carole's heart found its counterpart in Samuel Mitchell, III, and together they embarked on a loving marriage that flourished for 39 years. A graduate of MDI High School in 1969, Linda dedicated a significant portion of her career to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant in various nursing homes. Her passion for nurturing others continued as she transitioned into the role of a cook, eventually working her way up to a dietary manager. Her ability to bring comfort through her cooking was just one of the many ways she touched the lives of those around her.
Linda's youthful spirit shone brightly when she played softball in her early years, and her love for camaraderie and community was evident in her visits with friends and her involvement with the Eagles Club. Her home was a haven not just for her family and pets but also for any stray that crossed her path, reflecting her all-encompassing love for all creatures.
She had an innate ability to make those around her feel valued, leaving a legacy of warmth. Linda's longtime friend Gail from
Trenton, ME, special friends Rachel, Lois, and all her Eagle Friends will deeply miss the shared moments that now become precious memories to hold dear.
