Carolwyn Guise Obituary
Carolwyn "Nan" Guise, age 77, of Glenwood, passed away on February 27, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Betty and Floyd Bean.
Carolwyn was a member of the Community Methodist Church of Amity for 60 years. She attended Henderson University and has a Bachelor's Degree in Art. She was a teacher for 36 years. She taught school in Missouri, spent time teaching between Amity, AR, and Kirby, AR, and finished her teaching career at Centerpoint High School in Amity, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Sweet of Glenwood, AR, and her grandchildren, Zac Felts and Jacob Sweet. Her great-grandchildren Abigail Sweet and Raelynn Sweet, and her sister, Ellen Marten. Nieces Cara Lee and Holly Tulley, great-nieces Alexis and Morgan Lee, and Annie and Emma Tulley.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Community Methodist Church of Amity on March 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM. All friends, family, and former students are welcome to attend. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Smith Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Glenwood.
