Carolyn Raye Adams, 87, of Gastonia, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025. Born on February 4, 1938, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Carolyn lived a life filled with love, family, and faith, often attending First Assembly of God in Gastonia when she was able.
She dedicated many years of her life to working as an insurance clerk at McGill's Clinic in Kings Mountain, known for her warm smile and helpful nature. Carolyn cherished her time spent with family, especially her children, Windy Adams, Bobby Adams (Leslie), Cynthia Huffstickler, Jeffery Adams; her beloved grandchildren, Mark Estes (Amanda), Cody Estes (Shelby), Kent Huffstickler, Stevie Huffstickler, Ross Adams, Sara Adams, Lauren Adams, and Mavrick Adams; great grandchildren, Gracie and Ezra Estes, Camden Huffstickler and Britton Harris. She loved traveling and cheering on her grandson at motocross events, as well as enjoying family get-togethers that brought everyone together. When she wasn't spending time with her loved ones, Carolyn could be found lost in a good book or indulging in a bit of shopping.
Carolyn's family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.
Carolyn will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, her joyous spirit, and her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind lasting memories and a legacy of love that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gene Adams, Sr.; parents Samuel and Georgia Barrett; grandson, Grady Ricky Hall, Jr.; siblings, Elizabeth McDonald, Margie Barrett, Lillian Capps, Mary Neal and Buck Barrett.
