Carolyn Faye Bachman, 87, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many, passed away on January 23, 2026. Carolyn was born on July 15, 1938 in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William James Bachman, and son, William James Bachman Jr.
Carolyn is survived by daughters, Sandra (Ken) Farquhar, Joanie Jordan, Carol Lowry, 9 grandchildren, many loving great-grandchildren, and sisters, Teri Brown, and Betty Kuykendall.
Carolyn retired from Sears where she worked for over 35 years.Carolyn and her husband Bill were members of the Karl Rd Baptist Church for more then 30 years, creating lifelong friendships. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an exceptional cook and always loved cooking for everyone.
Family members would get a call from her at breakfast, and she would always ask "what are you cooking for dinner?"She was an avid dog lover, and her constant companion, Charlie Brown, was always by her side.
The family would like the express special thanks to Capital City Hospice and her nurse, Kelly Benjamin for their care and devotion.
A private burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
