Carolyn Cunningham Bourgeois, 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 9:32 p.m. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
A memorial service will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma on Saturday, December 13, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Terrebonne Memorial Park in Houma, LA.
Carolyn is survived by her children Steven Smith (Carrie), Lea Ann Smiley (Bruce), and Terry Antill (Marvin Jr.); grandchildren, Kenneth Smith II, Randi Kuzmicki, Lance Smiley, Taran Smiley, Brett Antill, Donald Erickson, and Rikki Erickson; 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great—grandchildren; sisters, Judy Robichaux and Joy Broussard; and brother-in-law, Caliste “Kit” Callahan.
Carolyn is predeceased by her 1st husband, Kenneth Ray Smith and 2nd husband, Roger Robert Bourgeois; daughter, Jerri Lynn Smith; parents, Junius and Bertha Louviere Cunningham; sister, Glenda Callahan; brother-in-law, Leland Robichaux and Gus Broussard.
Carolyn enjoyed traveling, bird watching, watching LSU and entertaining with her close friends.
The family would like to thank TGMC 4th floor nursing staff, CCU staff, Haydel Family Practice, Haydel Hospice Group, caregivers Cortney Dion and Greta Barnes.
