Leroy “Red” Jones Gilling Sr., age 80, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 12:10 p.m. He was a native of Montegut and a resident of Chauvin, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma on Sunday, November 9, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 10, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Dugas Cemetery in Montegut, LA.
Leroy is survived by his sons, Ellis Gilling and companion Dana, Leroy Gilling Jr. and wife, Amber; daughter, Casey G. Rogers and husband, Jessie Sr.; brothers, Tony Lapeyrouse, Kenny Pitre, and Darrell Pitre; sister, Rita Ward; grandchildren, Ellis Gilling Jr., Haley Gilling, Josephine Rogers, Katlynn Nobles, Jaycee Gilling, Leroy Gilling III, Zoie Gilling, Jessie Rogers Jr., Danielle Doles and Bethany Billiot; and great-grandchildren, Titan, Luka, Leo, Hudson, Amir, and Stetson.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Josephine Pitre and Don Gilling.
Falgout Funeral is honored to serve the Gilling family.
