Carolyn Ann Bunn, 82, of Durham, North Carolina went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. She was born on September 24, 1943, in Durham, NC to the late Herman and Essie Bunn.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Vandoris Adams and Barbara Clark Rich, her brothers, Julian Bunn (Gee) and Norman Bunn.

Ms. Bunn worked for many years as a housekeeper at RTP Community Church for almost 50 years where she was also a member most of her life. Recently she had been attending Bible Believers church with C.R.  Carolyn was a sweet and wonderful Christian Woman who truly lived a life in the eyes of her Lord. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. She would say “I want to make Heaven My Home”.

Carolyn was known by many whether at Bojangles in Bethesda, her churches or in the neighborhood, she was dearly loved. She could put a smile on anyone’s face because she was always smiling and wanted to brighten someone’s day. Carolyn never met a stranger and could visit with anyone, probably leaving them feeling as if they had met an Angel.

Carolyn loved her family and always wanted everyone to gather, and she really enjoyed the Holidays with them especially Christmas. She also mailed everyone a Birthday card never forgetting someone’s birthday.

Carolyn is survived by the love of her life, C.R. Hurley; her many nieces and nephews, and numerous loving great and great-great nieces and nephew all of whom she adored; as well as other extended family. She was also known to say “Never Say Goodbye”, as she knew God’s open arms would embrace her in Heaven, and that someday she would see everyone again.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, NC. Pastor Peggy House will officiate.

The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:00 P.M.
