Carolyn Irene (McCaslin) Clark was born on October 19, 1942, in Grady County, Oklahoma and passed from this life into eternal glory on September 27, 2025 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Dighton Marler Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Stillwater. Burial to follow in Sumner Cemetery.
Carolyn was the second of three daughters of Leo and Marie McCaslin. She attended school at Pioneer Schools until she graduated the 8th grade, then attended Ninnekah High School, graduating in 1960. While at Ninnekah she met her future husband, Darrel Clark. They married on September 1, 1961. They lived in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and returned back to Oklahoma, finally settling in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Darrel and Irene, Nana and Papa to most of their family, had two children, Sherry Cooper who resides in Stillwater, and Barry Clark who resides in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Marie, and one sister, Waunita Ruth. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Darrel Clark, her children, sister Darlene Clark, 5 grandchildren, Brian, Janine, Amber, Katherine, and Carolyn, her namesake. Five great grandchildren, Benjamin, Lyla, Emmalyn, Alivia and Isabella. She is also survived and is loved by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
