Carolyn Petty Davis, age 68, returned to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Dyer, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Bro. Rowdy Davis and Bro. Brad Bowie officiating. Burial to follow in the Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Bells Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
Mrs. Carolyn was born in Milan, TN on September 26, 1955, to the late Amos Petty and Ruth West Petty. She was a strong, dedicated believer and LOVED JESUS!!! She was affectionately known as Mama Davis, Lola and Nini. Mrs. Carolyn loved being an EMT for Gibson County and she was very cool-headed when dealing with a crisis. She was an extraordinary cook who loved country cooking and was gifted in that she could duplicate a dish or dessert after tasting it, without needing a recipe. She was very adventurous and enjoyed life with a magnetic personality. She loved her children, loved teaching children and was a devoted homemaker to her family. Mrs. Carolyn was always the life of the party, and we can only imagine the celebration reunion she is experiencing now in Heaven. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Mike Petty; and one sister: Linda Tubbs.
She is survived by her loving husband: Tom Davis of Dyer, TN; two sons: Alan Howard Copley (Marbelle) of Davenport, IA and Thomas E. Davis III of Bradford, TN; two daughters: Mary Frances Copley of Dyer, TN and Rachel Ellen Bowie (Brad) of Covington, TN; one brother: William Petty of Gibson, TN; one sister: Doris Turner of Milan, TN; She leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren: Shieldon Copley, Shianne Copley, Cassidy Copley, Bethney Davis (Shawn), Emma Bowie, Aiden Bowie, Josiah Bowie and one great grandchild on the way!

Serving as pallbearers are Aiden Bowie, Shieldon Copley, Christopher Rinks, Larry Blackwell, Josh Davis and Jason Hart. Honorary Pallbearers are Josiah Bowie, Mike Sieglar, Mark Stafford.
