Carolyn Sue Davis, a beloved member of our community, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2025. Carolyn was born on October 9, 1943, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to her loving parents Erwin Earl Ratliff and Helen Josephine Ratliff. She was raised on a farm with her brother Bob in Red Rock, Oklahoma. On September 22, 1962, she married the love of her life Floyd Thomas (Tom) Davis and together they raised two boys.
Carolyn built a remarkable career at Braums restaurant and dairy. She began as a Location Manager and through dedication and talent she ascended to Area Operations Manager. Her leadership left an enduring impact on the company and her colleagues. She enjoyed tending to her garden, watching crime shows while drinking her coke and eating popcorn, chatting with her sister-in-law Bessie, and spending time with her neighbor and dear friend Carma. Carolyn loved visiting with her children and grandchildren whom she called her “babies”. She found her greatest joy in caring for her family.
Carolyn was proceeded in death by her parents Earl and Helen Ratliff, Brother Bob Ratliff. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 62 years Tom Davis, her Children Rusty Davis of Perry, Randy Davis and wife Gaye of Stillwater. She was proud to be called “Mimi” by her grandchildren Katie Cantrell and husband Blay of Stillwater, Kort Davis of Perry, Logan Davis of Stillwater, Natalie McCarty and husband Connor of Stillwater. She was also a very proud great-grandmother to Benjamin Thomas Cantrell. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her love for her family was boundless and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to stop by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N 7th St. Perry, OK, on Monday June 30, 2025 from 10am – 5pm to sign her book and pay their respects. Carolyn’s family will be present Monday evening from 5pm-7pm. Celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on July 1, 2025, 10:00am at the First Baptist Church, 601 N. 7th St. Perry, OK. Brother Kim Hayes will Officiate. Pallbearers for the service will be Logan Davis, Kort Davis, Blay Cantrell, and Connor McCarty. Honorary Pallbearers are Herb Brand, Terry Leonard, and Bud Grim.
