I express my sincere condolences to the family of Rev. Dr. Carolyn Lewis Dowse. She was a dedicated servant of God.
Rev. Dowse graciously invited my choral ensembles for several seasons, to perform for various programs while she was Principal at Hodge Elementary School. I was a young teacher and appreciated her guidance and encouragement.
Rev. Dowse made a difference in the lives of many people. Cherish your precious memories. They will provide comfort and peace.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Lewis-Dowse Family! I learned of my namesake´s passing last night and I am so very sorry! I read on her niece´s page that she was hospitalized but had no idea that she transitioned! One of my Ring Master numbers is similar to the number of a family she´d call from time to time. Whenever she mistakenly dialed my number, I´d pick up, tell her what to dial, but we´d usually talk a long time, referring to each other as "Namesake".
Years ago, my older son was hospitalized and she came to see him frequently and we had "Church" each time. She lived the life of a Missionary and didn´t just wear a title. I will miss our conversations, though mostly unplanned were most enjoyable! Please RIHP "Namesake" and living as Our Father would have us, we will talk again, one sweet day! Rev Dr. Carolyn Dowse Sleep in Peace!

Thank you Rev. Dowse for the love and support you showed and gave to our father, Pastor Matthew Southall Brown, Sr. You both loved God and St. John Baptist Church. Servant of God, Well Done.
