Mrs. Carolyn Porter "Craig" Dutton

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Carolyn Craig Porter Dutton, age 78, of Jefferson, who passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Mrs. Dutton was born in Jefferson, GA, a daughter to the late Lonnie Craig and the late Sarah Holcomb Church. Mrs. Dutton was a Homemaker and a member of Nicholson Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends who always said, to know her is to love her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dutton was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Earl Franklin, brothers, Johnny Craig, Henry Craig, sister, Margie Cofield and great grandchild, Aleya Stinchcomb, and step-father, Raymond Church.

Survivors include her children, Melissa (Allen) Holland of Commerce, GA; Joann (Fess) Parker of Jefferson, GA, Reney (Terrell) Stinchcomb of Clarkesville, GA and Mary Sears of East Liverpool, OH; brother, Timmy (Edith) Craig of Bowman, GA; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Herman Brock officiating. The burial will follow in the Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 12:00noon until 2:00 PM, at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.
