Minister Carolyn Elaine Muldrew “Lannie”, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, Carolyn was a beacon of love, faith, and strength to all who knew her.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina. Carolyn was the cherished daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy Dickinson. She later made her home in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where she raised her family and touched the lives of countless people. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth Dickinson and Anthony Dickinson. She is survived by her beloved sister, Minister Jackie Smith (Anthony), and special friends Joanne Mitchell & Diane Gourdine.
Carolyn was a devoted mother to her two sons, Theron “Scooby” Dickinson (Geneva) and Kevin “Bubba” Dickinson (Lisa). 9 grandchildren: Jason Brown, Jolisa Drayton, Kawamane Dickinson, La’Monte Dickinson, Jasmine Brown, Shaquawna Brown, Kevin Dickinson Jr, Tiana Dickinson, and Ke’Andra Dickinson. 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She poured her heart into her family, always leading with love, unwavering faith, and words that lifted others up. Known for speaking life into those around her, Carolyn had a special way of seeing the good in people and reminding them of their worth.
A woman of deep Christian faith. Carolyn was a member of Whole Armour International Church, where she served under Apostle Anthony Triplett and Pastor Darryl Davis. Carolyn’s life was a testament to service and compassion. She worked for many years as a patient care technician, where her gentle spirit and warm presence brought comfort to many. Her generosity extended far beyond the workplace—she opened her heart and home as a foster mother, caring for children in need and offering them a place of safety and belonging.
Carolyn will be remembered for her radiant smile, her kind and faithful heart, and the strength she showed throughout her life. Her legacy of love and encouragement will live on in all who were fortunate to know her.

Viewing for Minister Carolyn Elaine Muldrew “Lannie” will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 6:00PM-7:00PM at Ollie M. Dickerson Chapel of Dickerson Mortuary, 4700 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston.
