Carolyn Floyd (70) of Boston Ma was called to Heaven on October 31, 2025, with the love of her family surrounding her.
Carolyn was born on October 12, 1955, in Estill South Carolina to Mattie Lee Drummond and Archie Simmons. She is survived by her other half Leroy Jones, children Tammie Simmons, Larrice Floyd, Larry Floyd & Eric Floyd. Grandchildren Johnnie, Johnesha, Lauquan, Desmond, Andreana, Jahliel, Jahtajia, Jahtaira, Jahvell, Promise, Eric Jr., Blue, Marquise, Cheryl, 15 great grandchildren, Brothers Archie Simmons Jr., Robert Simmons, Nate Simmons, Kenneth Simmons, Bradley Fuller, sisters Evelyn Atkins, Brenda Simmons, and Amelia Simmons,a host of nieces and nephews, close extended family members Nicole Kennerly and Tiaisha Austin
Carolyn was preceded by her parents Mattie Lee Simmons and Archie Simmons and sister Rachel Hart
Carolyn was such a radiant soul. She was known for being loving, caring, and fun to be around. She had a positive impact on many people. She'd make you laugh even if you didn't feel like it. She loved everyone and made sure we knew it. There was no conversation that didn't end with "I Love You." She loved to dance and sing; she could turn a dull moment into laughter in a split second (you never knew what she was going to say). She loved her family and friends unconditionally. Man did Ma Carol love to cook!!! Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. Carolyn and Leroy Jones have loved and cherished each-other for 37 years. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. Family was everything to her.
Carolyn was a member of Caleb Group of the Universal Church. She worked at Back to Life Chiropractic and had her very own office in the back. She would call her daughter Larrice every day to remind La and Dr. Nair that "That was her job" and always told Larrice to take care of Dr. Nair.
Carolyn cared so much about her loved ones that even during her sick stage she wanted to cater to everyone and made sure she let us know that "If we need her, she was there"
